MAT Olympics

12th July 2016

What a wonderful day we all had on Wednesday at the first ever St. Piran's Cross MAT Olympics.  In the morning all the Key Stage 2 children from the five schools gathered together at Par running track.  The Olympics was opened with a parade of athletes, a special dance and the Olympic promise spoken by our representative George.  All the children took part in at least one event including sprints, long distance runs, javelins, jumping and many more.
In the afternoon it was the turn of Key stage 1 who enjoyed taking part in a range of events.  A huge thank you to Mrs Cleeves from Bishop Bronscombe school for organising the event and a huge well done to all the Ladock children for showing such great sportsmanship.  Our medal haul was rather impressive too!
