In line with Government guidance, we are happy to say that Ladock school reopened to all children on Monday 8th March. Please remember, restrictions are still in place and visits to our school site must not be made without prior arrangement. Thank you for your understanding.

Collective Worship

Collective worship is at the heart of our day. On a Friday morning we worship in church using a service devised and led by the year 6 children.  During this service we give out our weekly awards and celebrate our achievements.  Every fortnight we have an Open the Book story also.
We meet together for Collective Worship in Blaise Class during the rest of the week.  We often have visitors on a Thursday and at other times the worship is led by staff.
Here at Ladock School our collective worship is a very important part of our daily school life.  Children in Year 6 have the privilege of leading our Collective Worship in Church every Friday as well as reading the Gospel and intercessions in our termly Eucharist service. We also have a very important team of volunteers from Blaise Class who prepare our classroom for worship each day, creating a sacred space for the school by preparing the room and welcoming the children for worship. During Friday worship they take on the role of Sidespersons, just like members of the congregation do for the Sunday Church services!
