Hello Ladoca Class!

We hope you are all well and having a good time learning at home!  Do let us know what you’ve been doing – you can even send us photos to go on the website (make sure you have permission from the adult looking after you!)

Are you ready for a challenge?  Yes?  Good!  Here we go then ……

Launching Ladoca’s Terrific Turtle Challenge!

Mrs Stevenson has made Tony the Turtle (he likes drinking tea!)

She has created a set of instructions on how to make him – he’s not too difficult and you can use scraps of fabric or even old socks to create him.  So your first challenge is, can you make your own Tony the Turtle following the instructions provided?

Next, can you create a 3-D turtle model in a different way from Mrs Stevenson?  Maybe you could use old pots, toilet rolls, something from the garden ….. or come up with some other ingenious way.  Take photos (Mrs Stevenson used her phone), or draw diagrams to show step by step what to do and give clear, simple instructions just as Mrs Stevenson has done.

Finally, can you take a picture of your turtle doing something or exploring somewhere, just like Tony investigating Mrs Stevenson’s tea!

If you send your instructions to either Mrs Stevenson or Mr Stoyles, we can put them on the website and try to make each other’s creations.  Don’t forget to send us photos of the finished products!

Have fun and be creative!  We’ll post some more challenges soon.

Welcome to Ladoca Learning page!
Below are plans and resources to use.
We would encourage children to ensure that they are reading every day and quizzing using their login for accelerated reader. If your child/children are not able to access school books, please refer to the accelerated reader link on the Home Learning Platform to see whether books from home have an available quiz.
We would also like to encourage children to practice their recall of multiplication and division facts, these can be accessed from links within the Home Learning Platform under '99 Club Juniors' and 'Morning Maths' Children in Year 4 are expected to know their times tables up to 12 x 12 by the Summer Term in preparation for a recently introduced government test.
Please read the information carefully and use the links given.
