St Ladoca

Welcome to Ladoca class!
Our Y3/4 team are Mrs Tringham, Mr Stoyles and our teaching assistant is Miss Burley. We are situated away from the main school site in a Victorian classroom next to Ladock church.
Have a look at how we have arranged our classroom, we've worked hard to still offer an inclusive environment but stick to Covid-19 protocols.

PE lessons are on Thursdays (netball) and Fridays (hockey).

We offer an afterschool club for our bubble on Wednesday which is run by Cornwall Cricket.

Homework is posted through Class Dojo on a Friday afternoon and due for submission the following Thursday.

Our home reading is focused around the Accelerated Reader scheme .

Who were the Tudors?
We have really been enjoying the start to our Tudor topic.
We have re-enacted the Battle of Bosworth, on the school filed, to show how the Tudor's came to power.
We have then gone on to look in detail at one of the Tudors most notorious Kings, Henry VIII. We have found out lots of information about him and his wives. We got to meet him on Zoom and ask him lots of questions.
Apparently, he really didn't enjoy killing the estimated 70,000 people he killed and he has a royal bottom wiper!!
We have visited the Royal Cornwall Museum and Lanhydrock House where we all dressed up as Victorians - it was great fun!  We found out all about the lives of the different people who lived and worked at Lanhydrock.  We've used information from census documents and discovered that the Victorian Headmaster of Ladock School was called Mr Clemmow.  He had ten children and lived in the school house!
In RE we've been finding out about liturgical colours - we even got to put on some real stoles.
