St Keyne Class (KS1)

I had a placement at Ladock during my teacher training in 2017 and never left! I love reading because it transports me to another place and time from the comfort of my own home. You can get so wrapped up in the plot and the characters that everything around you melts away. I have quite a few favourite books - including lots of children's books - but my current favourite is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini because it gives such a personal and emotional insight into life in Afghanistan.

 

Welcome to St Keyne!

St Keyne is a Year 1 and Year 2 class. On Monday-Thursday the class teacher is Mrs Vincent and Mrs Edwards on Friday. Mrs Milling covers PPA on a Tuesday afternoon.

 

We strive to produce happy, considerate and curious learners by following our school vision of loving, learning and achieving together.

 

A normal day for us looks like this:

8:40-9:00   Morning Maths and Registration

9:00-9:45   Read Write Inc Phonics

9:45-10:30   Maths

10:30-10:45   Playtime

10:45-12:00   Literacy

12:00-1:00   Lunchtime

1:00-1:30   Handwriting or Independent Reading

1:30-2:30   Foundation Subject

2:30-3:00   Collective Worship

3:00-3:10   Storytime
 

Please continue to support our work by hearing your children read their RWI book every day.

 

PE lessons are on Thursdays and Fridays. Please come into school dressed in PE kit on these days. 

 

Every Friday, spellings will be posted on Class Dojo to be tested on the following Friday.
